Peace Boat US is proud to announce the recipients of its inaugural Ocean Stewardship Awards, a new initiative dedicated to honoring leaders who advance Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Life Below Water. Inspired by the United Nations World Oceans Day theme, “Reimagine,” the awards celebrate individuals and organizations transforming ocean protection through community impact, youth leadership, innovation, and education.

The honorees were officially announced during the Ocean Gala and Blue Innovation Reception held on June 10, 2026. This prestigious event took place onboard Peace Boat’s vessel, the Pacific World, while docked in New York City as part of its 123rd Global Voyage. The ceremony featured presentations from a distinguished panel of judges, including Levi Lomey, Adrian Solgaard, Fabien Cousteau, Paul D. Miller, and Patrick Duffy, who helped recognize the champions from a competitive field of 55 global nominations.

The Peace Boat US team and a panel of 11 expert judges faced a rigorous selection process, ultimately identifying four winners across distinct categories. We extend our deepest congratulations to all nominees for their vital contributions to a sustainable blue economy and a healthier planet.
