What is COP?
“COP is the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). “COP” stands for Conference of the Parties. COP is the world’s foremost multilateral platform for global climate governance; it is where climate targets are negotiated, commitments are strengthened and collective action is advanced. The Programme of COP31 brings together global leaders, policymakers, scientists, businesses, civil society, and youth to accelerate climate action and strengthen international cooperation.” – COP31 website
