Caribbean & Latin America Voyage

We’re excited excited to announce the next “Youth for the SDGs” program for the UN Ocean Decade onboard the 120th Global Voyage from Montego Bay, Jamaica sailing through the Panama Canal to Punta Arenas, Costa Rica and arriving in Manzanillo, Mexico from July 2 – 20, 2025.

Peace Boat US is proud to be a recognized contributor to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development through our Youth for the SDGs scholarship programs and other ocean-related initiatives. Endorsed by IOC UNESCO, our “Youth for the SDGs” programs create experiential learning opportunities for young activists and community leaders from around the world who are advocating for the SDGs.

  • Dates: July 2 – 20, 2025
  • Program cost: $5000 USDĀ 
  • Partial Scholarships are available on a needs basis; applicants between 18-30 years old are eligible.
  • Registration deadline: May 15
    * This price does not include international flights and travel insurance.

Itinerary

  • July 2 – Arrive in Jamaica.
  • July 3-4 – Stay in Montego Bay, mangrove restoration and coral reef study program.
  • July 5 – Blue Economy Forum onboard Peace Boat in Montego Bay. Depart onboard Peace Boat.
  • July 7 – Arrive in Cristobal, Panama. Study program.
  • July 8 – Sail through the Panama Canal.
  • July 9 – At sea. Workshops and presentations onboard.
  • July 10 – Punta Arenas, Costa Rica. Biodiversity study program.
  • July 11-13 – At sea. Workshops, presentations, lectures onboard.
  • July 14-17 – Manzanillo, Mexico. Coral reef and mangrove study programs.
  • July 18-20 – Conclusion and reporting.
