On August 7, Peace Boat made it’s inaugural call on Seattle, one of the most sustainable cities in the US. That afternoon, Peace Boat and local partners held an event, Sailing for Sustainability, onboard the ship and in collaboration with the Impact Travel Greater Seattle, Adventure Travel Trade Association, the Port of Seattle, and other partners. The event was attended by around 100 guests representing travel, non-profit, maritime, and other sectors, and highlighted the importance of partnerships and innovation, especially in the areas of sustainable tourism and maritime industry.
