Please join us (Thursday 8/27, 8:00 pm) for this musical journey with talented artists from around the world who have all performed aboard the Peace Boat, sharing their creativity and knowledge as part of our music and art programs. From South America, we will speak with Chilean music producer and environmentalist Pier Bucci, who has a legacy of incredible productions and conservation efforts for the Amazon rainforest. We will also experience the “Peace Symphony” of composer and artist Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky, who traveled on Peace Boat from Peru to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) and Tahiti as a guest speaker, while learning from the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki through their testimonies onboard.

Later in the evening (Thursday 8/27, 9:30 pm) we will travel to the MAPA studio with Michael Tello from PillowTalk, who has created a common space for artists and producers to share their musical talent in Brooklyn, New York. Visually, we will have the opportunity to learn from Japanese artist, Satoshi Fujita aka Dragon 76, who has painted murals worldwide with Peace Boat and continues to dedicate his work to social justice and equality through art.
