Disarmament Education: The Role of Survivors and Youth

marshall-islands-eventmarshall-islands-event-01Join the Ambassador from the Marshall Islands as well as the Peace Boat’s delegation of Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors) and Global University Students who will arrive to NYC on the ship, in a discussion about building a global community committed to raising awareness of the humanitarians consequences of nuclear weapons and nuclear testing. Youth have a critical role to play in passing along the memories and legacies of survivors. Our youth delegates will present their plan of action conceptualized while studying with the Peace Boat and survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki – officially designated by the Japanese Government as “Special Communicators for a World Without Nuclear Weapons.”
