Documentary and Report: A Journey Through Indigenous Communities in El Salvador and Panama

As part of the United Nations World Conference on Indigenous Peoples, a high level plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly, to be held on September 22-23, Peace Boat US in partnership with the permanent missions of El Salvador and Panama are organizing an event: “A Journey Through Indigenous Communities in El Salvador and Panama” – a short documentary and slideshow about three Brooklyn youth encountering indigenous communities in El Salvador and Panama in August of this year, as participants onboard the Central America segment of Peace Boat’s 84th Global Voyage.

The Permanent Missions of El Salvador and Panama and Peace Boat US kindly invite you to this event on September 23, at 1:15, Conference Room D (CB) (UN credentials required to attend). 

The documentary is a project in partnership between DCTV, a youth-focused community media NGO and Peace Boat US’s Music and Arts Peace Academy.
