Our Work

Peace Boat US engages in disarmament advocacy and education work throughout the year. Our efforts are centered around:

  • UN Disarmament Month – October annually (UN First Committee on Disarmament and International Security)

  • Peace Boat visits to NYC – twice annually

  • Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) – Meeting of States Parties – held annually at UN Headquarters

  • Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) Conferences

  • Additional disarmament-related work includes organizing and hosting educational events, film screenings, networking, building partnerships, and youth engagement.
